US Nisshin Shokai helps you seed a business and grow your business. History of US Nisshin Shokai

US Nisshin Shokai was founded in 2012 by Nisshin Shokai Co. Ltd, a Japanese trading company located in Tochigi, Japan that was founded in 1949 and started locally selling grease and oilcake. After steady growth over the years, Nisshin Shokai decided to do a joint venture with a local family in South Dakota in order to meet the higher demands of US origin grain products in Japan, and they founded a freight-forwarding company named NI Midstar. Then in 2013, NI Midstar became a 100% subsidiary company of US Nisshin Shokai.

Having a history of 70+ years of trading experience and 20+ years of logistics experience provides US Nisshin Shokai with an outstanding edge in business when we consult with our customers. As of 2023, we export more than 5,000 containers of soy ingredients annually for food purposes. We are proud of our team members who keep meeting customers’ requirements, and anyone who supports our business directly or indirectly.
